RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A local charity, Good Supply Co, says it is in danger of closing its doors due to an unexpected rent increase.

According to Good Supply Co. Director Robbie Moen, the non-profit company has distributed almost $1 million worth of goods to those in need in northern Nevada this year alone but is in danger of closing its doors during the biggest giving month of the year.

Moen said a "California-based company recently purchased the Good Supply Co. warehouse and has asked for an unexpected 32 percent rent increase immediately along with other difficult-to-meet demands for a small non-profit."

Earlier today, the charity distributed clothing, household goods, appliances, bedding, hygiene products and toys from their warehouse.

Moen said they still hope to raise additional donations and create new partnerships so that they "can acquire a new warehouse with a fair market value lease."

Good Supply Co. also provides disaster relief for northern Nevada and other nearby communities.
